Would this scare you? True story though you may not believe it?

I meet God in this story. So if interested, read on. But there are things I have to explain before getting to the meat of the story.

I went through a time when I was very depressed. So depressed that I wanted to die but was too afraid to kill myself.

So that's how depressed I was. I was depressed because nothing made me happy anymore. I mean nothing. Not partying, not sex, not being with friends, nothing. I was doing terribly in school, didn't have as many friends as I wanted to, and didn't really have anything to live for.

And then I started to watch Dexter, the show on Showtime about the serial killer that kills other killers. And I started to get this crazy idea that I was like Dexter, that I was meant to be a serial killer. And this seemed to make sense. I sympathized a lot with Dexter with him not feeling like he fit in and not being happy. And I started to think that I was supposed to be a serial killer and that this is why I wasn't enjoying life.

I seriously thought this and I don't know if I went out this night thinking it but I went out to the bar, by myself (I find it's easier to pick up girls sometimes this way, not that I do anymore) but anyways this girl came up to me as the bar was starting to close. She came up to me like "i wanna hook up" and this thought just came to me. It was like my mind was saying "this is how it works. you pick up girls like this and you kill them. then you'll be happy". It wasn't a voice in my head, it was just a thought.

So I was thinking this and we started walking to my car. And as we crossed the street she stopped for a moment and turned around and just walked up and hugged this guy that was walking by. I was like "great :(" and they both looked at me. Then he said "So you're a serial killer now." I swear to God He said this and I immediately knew it was God. Not from Him knowing this but I felt it. It was like the Holy Spirit came over me and revealed this to me. I said in a smart-ass way "so much for vanity" as He was a pretty good looking guy. Tall, lean, attractive. He said to the girl "I had to be attractive otherwise..." and I couldn't hear the rest. She was still hugging Him and just happy. He then said to her "Go with him and see what happens." And she went with me.

And then the weirdest thing happened. It was like God erased my memory but had like planted a seed in my head that was telling me I wasn't a serial killer.

On the ride home the girl just said to me "Are you like a serial killer?" and I said, "No, I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet." And I really am. Not the nicest, but pretty nice I think. She had thought about getting out of the car but she didn't. This has never happened before so its not like I'm creepy. Remember she came up to me.

So God revealed Himself to me and I know it. He may have stopped me from doing something terrible. And now I believe in Him.

Would this scare you? Not meeting God for I know that He makes you feel however He wants you to feel. So if He wants you to feel comfortable, you will. If He wants you to be afraid, He will. He has that control.

So would it scare you if God came to you like this and helped you? Or would it scare you for some reason? Sometimes it scares me because I don't know what to think. It isn't like there are other people I can talk to about this (I see a therapist and she knows about this so no need to write that I should see one).

Maybe you've met God? I would love to hear about that. And I swear to God this happened. I have no reason to lie. I don't care if you believe me or not, I know the truth.
